Sarah Callahan Black
Owner, Co. Founder, & Actor

Sarah is an award-winning actress and choreographer and the proud owner of Curiouser Entertainment! She is the Kids Troupe instructor for FAME Performing Arts and the 2017 Charleston City Paper Best of Charleston Best Local Actress! She has trained in New York City with acting coaches including Bob Luke (on set acting coach for movies including Disney's Enchanted), Neal Lerner (Orange Is The New Black, Girls), and vocal coaches including Bob Marks (past students include Ariana Grande, Lea Salonga, Natalie Portman). 

Sarah has worked as a performer, and choreographer for several theatre companies around Charleston including 34 West, PURE Theatre, What If Productions, Charleston Stage, and Village Rep! Some of her favorite onstage credits include Mary Miles Minter in Hollywood, Sherrie in Rock of Ages, Marianne Wilson in Disaster! (Village Rep), Alicia in Small Mouth Sounds (PURE Theatre), Andy in Addicted To Love, Jersey in Uptown Girl, Rose in Love Potion No. 9 (34 West), Fraulein Kost in Cabaret, Nina is Stupid...Bird, Ginny in Five Lesbians Eating a Quiche (What If? Productions), Rita in White Christmas (Charleston Stage), Chava in Fiddler on the Roof (Threshold Rep.), and the title roles in Cinderella and Little Red Riding Hood with Sprouts Musical Theatre. Favorite choreography credits include Sister ActLittle Shop of Horrors (Charleston Stage), Cabaret, Hair (What If? Productions), and Pippin (Midtown Productions).

Along with winning Charleston City Paper's Best Local Actress in 2017, Sarah has also been nominated for several awards including Best Performance of an Actress (Audio Verse Awards 2016), Outstanding Lead Actress in a Musical (Theater Charleston Awards 2013 & 2014), Outstanding Choreography (Theater Charleston Awards 2014), Best Choreography (SC Broadway World Awards 2014), and Best Local Actress (Charleston City Paper's Best of Awards 2018). Ellen Callahan
Co. Founder & Writer

Ellen is the co. founder of Curiouser Entertainment as well as the author of the "Enchanting Princess Storytime" stories! She carries a Doctorate Degree in teaching with over 20 years of experience teaching college, high school, and elementary school! Ellen has toured the country as a singer and a musician for the show band "Rich Mauro Review," and dance band "Fine Line Entertainment!" She is also a member of the National Association of Women’s Gymnastics Judges and a certified judge! Ellen loves to spend her free time with her beautiful horses and animals on her 20 acre farm!

John Black

Graphic Designer, Actor

John is a Charleston-based actor who performs with several theater companies around Charleston including 34 West, and Village Rep.! Some of John's favorite credits include Philip Lombard in And Then There Were None, Ben Gunn in Treasure Island, Walter in Marjorie Prime, Saeed in Blood and Gifts, Martin in Seminar, Drew in Rock of Ages (Village Rep.), Peter in Peter and the Starcatcher (Charleston Stage), Hanky in Moonshine County Christmas, and Charlie in I Got You Babe (34 West). John has been nominated for Best Local Actor for the Best of Charleston 2018 Awards and well as for the Broadway.com Awards!

Jesse Black


Jesse has been a known shutterbug for over a decade! His work has been featured in Charleston Magazine, and he has taken many promotional pictures for plays, musicals, and events in downtown Charleston, such as "Rock of Ages" (Village Rep.), "Dirty Blonde" and "Heathers: The Musical" (Footlight Players), and the 2018 & 2019 events "Plantasia Eve" for Charleston Horticultural Society.

Alex Barbee


Alex is a graduate from the University of Arizona earning her BA in history back in 2014. New to the east coast she moved here last January starting a new job as a Park Ranger at Fort Sumter and Fort Moultrie National Historical Park. Although passionate about history and America's National Parks she has a long history of performing as a dancer both professionally and competitively. From 2015 to 2019 she worked in the Entertainment Department at the Disneyland Resort performing in a variety of roles both in parades and in-park appearances. Alex is excited to be back performing again and hanging out with some of her favorite princesses. 

Josh Daniel

Josh Daniel is a homeschooled senior from Summerville, SC. He frequently acts in the theatre program of his local homeschool co-op, as well as with the Flowertown Players. Past roles have included Mark Anthony in A Chorus Line, Jack Kelly in Newsies, and Peter in The Diary of Anne Frank, which was recently named by The Charleston City Paper as the best non-Piccolo Spoleto play of 2019! Josh plans to pursue a BFA in acting and a professional career in film and television. Outside of theatre, Josh’s favorite hobbies include fishing and playing rock n’ roll. Curiouser Entertainment is by far his favorite job that he’s ever had, and he is glad to be a part of the team.

Kayla Braxton

Kayla Braxton is a newcomer to the Charleston area as she is an Alabama native! Kayla is a recent graduate from the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University with her BFA in Musical Theatre. Some favorite roles include Rosalind Franklin (Photograph 51), Clarisse (Fahrenheit 451), Nina (In the Heights), and Belle (Beauty and the Beast). Some of her hobbies include sewing, wig styling, reading, and playing with her dog Stormy!

Bailey Rose Gaines

Bailey is a film student at Trident Technical College. She has recently taken part in several performances; Sense and Sensibility (Margaret/Anne Steel) at Threshold Repertory Theater, Heathers: The Musical (Ensemble), Singing in the Rain (Zelda Zanders), The Wedding Singer (Julia Gulia), and The Addams Family (Ensemble), at Footlight Players. In her free time, she loves to volunteer with the technical crew at Midtown Productions and play piano.

Olivia Gainey

Olivia is the 2020 Charleston City Paper Best of Charleston Best Local Actress! She is a Summerville native and enjoys performing in local musicals and plays around town. Some of her favorite roles include Anne Frank in The Diary of Anne Frank, Rachel McAfee in Bye Bye Birdie, Judy Turner  in A Chorus Line, Tobias Ragg in Sweeney Todd (Flowertown Players), and Jim in Treasure Island  (Woolfe Street Playhouse). Some of her hobbies include singing, swing dance, guitar, and traveling to NYC to take in all the Broadway shows she can.  She has been with Curiouser Entertainment for over two years now now and hopes to continue to put smiles on faces with each and every character she portrays .


Trinity Griffin is a Freshman at the College of Charleston majoring in Theatre (Performance). She has been involved in musical theatre for 5 years portraying roles such as: Fiona in SHREK THE MUSICAL, Mrs. Potts in BEAUTY & THE BEAST, Cinderella in INTO THE WOODS, and Rachel in LAST NIGHT AND THE NIGHT BEFORE. When she isn’t on stage singing her heart out and being dramatic, she’s at home... singing her heart out and being dramatic. Trinity is excited to turn children’s dreams and imaginations into reality!  


Trinity Griffin


Elizabeth Ludlam

Elizabeth Ludlam is a senior musical theatre major with a double minor in Spanish and dance at the Catholic University of America. Recent Catholic U credits include: Too Many Sopranos (Archangel Gabriel), The Threepenny Opera (Jenny Diver), River Like Sin (River), and Little Shop of Horrors (Ronnette). Other recent credits include: Midtown Productions- Matilda (Miss Honey), Flowertown Players- West Side Story (Consuelo), and Footlight Players- A Chorus Line (Kristine). She is an alto in both the Washingtones A Cappella Group and the CUA Chamber Choir. She recently appeared as a semifinalist at the American Pops Orchestra’s Next Gen: Finding the Voices of Tomorrow.

Lauren Mummert is a senior at South Carolina Virtual Charter School. She is a local actress and has been for several years. She is pursing a BFA in Musical Theatre. Some shows that she has done around town include The Addams Family (Morticia), Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins), Carrie (Margaret White) and Annie (Miss Hannigan). Other shows include Rent, Heathers, Cats and Les Misérables. In her free time she also enjoys playing several instruments including the piano, guitar and accordion. Lauren is so excited to be apart of Curiouser Entertainment! She has dreamed of being a princess since she was a little girl and she is absolutely thrilled to make other children’s dreams come true!

Austin Ricciardelli

Austin Ricciardelli is graduate of Fort Dorchester High School(2018). He has studied Theatre for 4 years, most notable roles include Suffolk and Northumberland in DAMES OF THRONES and Brom Bones in THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW. In his free time he enjoys painting, woodworking, and learning to surf

Xan is a Charleston native and a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. He has performed with many theatre companies around Charleston, including the Village Repertory Company, Midtown Productions, and Sprouts Children's Theatre. Some of Xan's favorite roles to date are The Beast in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, Sally in HAPPY IN THE POORHOUSE, Sir Frank Finger in IT'S ONLY A PLAY, Smudge in PLAID TIDINGS, Chad in DISASTER! THE MUSICAL, and Preppy Stud in HEATHERS, THE MUSICAL. Xan has taught theatre and dramatic arts through the Charleston Youth Company as well as his own private coaching. Xan is very excited to be a part of Curiouser Entertainment and hopes to make your next event a little more curiouser!

Xan Rogers


Marissa Rothfarb is a College of Charleston 2019 Public Health graduate from Atlanta, who enjoys working for theatre, camera, and voiceover in the Southeast. Some of her favorite roles have been Becky Sharp in the regional premiere of VANITY FAIR (Village Repertory Company), Heather Duke in HEATHERS THE MUSICAL (Footlight Players), the Acrobat in MATILDA THE MUSICAL (Footlight Players), Pam in RENT (College of Charleston), the Baker's Wife in INTO THE WOODS jr. (Johns Creek Players), and Lisa in DAVID & LISA (Johns Creek Players). Marissa's voice can be heard in local podcast Aural Traditions, in online animations, and in several Audible audiobooks!


Marissa Rothfarb



Clancy Stauffer


Clancy is a highschool senior who loves everything theatre. Some of her favorite roles include Maria Rainer (Sound of Music), Patty Di Marco (School of Rock), Mayzie La Bird (Seussical), Lily St. Regis (Annie), and Katherine Plumber (Newsies). When not doing musical theatre, she enjoyes singing while playing the piano, experimental cooking, and long walks. She loves kids and is thrilled to be working with Curiouser and being able to bring this magic to life!

Lara is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She is a member of the Village Repertory Company at the Woolfe Street Playhouse where she performed in Daddy Long Legs (Jerusha), The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (Hallie), Xanadu (Kira), Marvelous Wonderettes (Cindy Lou), Winter Wonderettes (Cindy Lou), One Man Two Guvnors (Pauline), London Wall, Spamalot, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, and Ring of Fire. She is also a member of Charleston Stage’s Acting Ensemble where she appeared in Mamma Mia (Tanya), Hairspray (Velma Von Tussle), Beauty and the Beast (Babette), Noises Off (Belinda), Young Frankenstein, Mary Poppins, Catch Me if You Can, 9 to 5, Legally Blonde, Cabaret, and Joseph. Some of her other performances include Christine in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Footlight), Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker (Footlight), Charity in Sweet Charity (Flowertown), Laura in The Glass Menagerie (Threshold), Lily St. Regis in Annie (Charleston Music Hall), Princess Winifred in Once Upon a Mattress (D.C.’s Lazy Susan), and Angela in Perfectly Normel People (Footlight, Threshold, NY International Fringe Festival). Lara is a wife to Ian, a mommy to Abel, and a dog mom to Kermit and Fozzie Bear.
