Sarah Callahan Black
Owner, co. founder, & actor

Sarah is an award-winning actress and choreographer and the proud owner of Curiouser Entertainment! Sarah has worked as a performer, and choreographer for several theatre companies around Charleston including 34 West, PURE Theatre, What If Productions, Charleston Stage, and Village Rep! Some of her favorite onstage credits include Mary Miles Minter in HOLLYWOOD, Sherrie in ROCK OF AGES, Marianne Wilson in DISASTER!, Miss Bufton in LONDON WALL (Village Rep), Alicia in SMALL MOUTH SOUNDS (PURE Theatre), Andy in ADDICTED TO LOVE, Jersey in UPTOWN GIRL, Linda Lou in MOONSHINE COUNTY CHRISTMAS, Rose in LOVE POTION NO. 9,  Ruth in I GOT YOU BABE, Estelle in SHE DRIVES ME CRAZY (34 West), Fraulein Kost in CABARET, Nina is STUPID...BIRD, Ginny is 5 LESBIANS EATING A QUICHE (What If? Favorite choreography credits include SISTER ACT and LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (Charleston Stage), CABARET, HAIR (What If? Productions), PIPPIN (Midtown Productions), and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (Threshold Rep). Sarah is also a theater & dance teacher for FAME performing arts and the 2017 Charleston City Paper Best Local Actress.

Ellen Callahan
Co. founder & writer

Ellen is the co. founder of Curiouser Entertainment! She carries a Doctorate Degree in teaching with over 20 years of experience teaching college, high school, and elementary school! Ellen has toured the country as a singer and a musician for the show band "Rich Mauro Review," and dance band "Fine Line Entertainment!" She is also a member of the National Association of Women’s Gymnastics Judges and a certified judge! Ellen loves to spend her free time with her beautiful horses and animals on her 20 acre farm!

John Black


John is a Charleston-based actor who performs with several theater companies around Charleston including 34 West, and Village Rep.! Some of John's favorite credits include Peter in "Peter and the Starcatcher" (Charleston Stage), Hanky in "Moonshine County Christmas," Charlie in "I Got You Babe" (34 West), Walter in "Marjorie Prime," Saeed in "Blood and Gifts," Martin in "Seminar," and Drew in "Rock of Ages" (Village Rep). John has been nominated for Best Local Actor for the Best of Charleston 2018 Awards and well as for the Broadway.com Awards!

Jesse Black


Jesse has been a known shutterbug for over a decade! His work has been featured on the Charleston Magazine website, and he has taken many promotional pictures for plays, musicals, and events in downtown Charleston, such as "Rock of Ages" (Village Rep.), "Dirty Blonde" and "Heathers: The Musical" (Footlight Players), and the 2018 event "Plantasia Eve" for Charleston Horticultural Society.

Becca Anderson

Becca Anderson is a multi-award-winning Charleston area actress and singer. Recent regional credits include: Fun Home, She Drives Me Crazy, 5 Lesbians Eating A Quiche, Mary Poppins, Addicted To Love, Grey Gardens, Young Frankenstein, London Wall, Arcadia, Spamalot, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Always... Patsy Cline, A Christmas Story, Kimberly Akimbo, and 9 To 5. Anderson can also be found performing with cabaret trio, The Belles, and serves as a coach, judge, and performer for a variety of professional, educational, and independent events throughout the region. Anderson is Executive Producer of Best For Business, a podcast celebrating Charleston Creatives, and is a 3-time Best of Charleston Best Local Actress, a 2-time Theatre Charleston award recipient for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Musical, and Theatre Charleston's People's Choice. www.becca-anderson.net 

Lara Allred Swallen


Lara is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She is a member of The Village Repertory Company at the Woolfe Street Playhouse where she performed in Xanadu (Kira), Marvelous Wonderettes (Cindy Lou), Winter Wonderettes (Cindy Lou), One Man Two Guvnors (Pauline), London Wall (Miss Hooper),  Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (Hallie), Spamalot, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, and Ring of Fire. She’s also a member of Charleston Stage's Acting Company at the Dock Street Theatre and appeared in Hairspray (Velma Von Tussle), Young Frankenstein, Mary Poppins, Catch Me if You Can, 9 to 5, Sister Act, Legally Blonde, Cabaret, and Joseph. Some of her other local performances include Christine in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Footlight), Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker (Footlight), Charity in Sweet Charity (Flowertown), Laura Wingfield in The Glass Menagerie (Threshold), Lily St. Regis in Annie (Charleston Music Hall), and the original Angela Normellino in Perfectly Normel People (Footlight, Threshold, NY International Fringe Festival) for which she won a Theatre Charleston Award. Lara has been teaching musical theatre since 2011 and currently teaches with the Woolfe Street Playhouse, Storytree Theatre at the Gaillard Center, Dance Laugh Learn, and East Cooper Montessori Charter School.

Olivia Gainey

Olivia is a Summerville native and enjoys performing in local musicals and plays around town. Some of her favorite roles include Rachel McAfee in Bye Bye Birdie at Flowertown Players, Tobias Ragg in Sweeney Todd at Flowertown Players, Jim in Treasure Island at Wolfe Street Playhouse and Judy Turner in A Chorus Line at Flowertown Players. Some of her hobbies include singing, swing dance, guitar, and traveling to NYC to take in all the Broadway shows she can.  She has been with Curiouser Entertainment for over a year now and hopes to continue to put smiles on faces with each and every character she portrays .

Bailey Rose Gaines

Bailey is a film student at Trident Technical College. She has recently taken part in several performances; Sense and Sensibility (Margaret/Anne Steel) at Threshold Repertory Theater, Heathers: The Musical (Ensemble), Singing in the Rain (Zelda Zanders), The Wedding Singer (Julia Gulia), and The Addams Family (Ensemble), at Footlight Players. In her free time, she loves to volunteer with the technical crew at Midtown Productions and play piano.

Trinity Griffin


Trinity Griffin has been involved in the musical theatre for 5 years portraying roles such as: Fiona in SHREK THE MUSICAL, Mrs. Potts in BEAUTY & THE BEAST, Cinderella in INTO THE WOODS, and Joan of Arc in DAMES OF THRONE. When she isn’t on stage singing her heart out and being dramatic, she’s at home... singing her heart out and being dramatic. Trinity is excited to turn children’s dreams and imaginations into reality!

Madison Land


Madison has been involved in all aspects of theatre and dance for 5 years. Some of her favorite roles she has portrayed include Amber in HAIRSPRAY, Clara in 33 VARIATIONS, Lady Anne in DAMES OF THRONES, Fairy Godmother in SHREK, and the Bakers Wife in INTO THE WOODS. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends and family, catching up on new makeup trends, and of course rewatching all the Disney classics. 

Austin Ricciardelli

Austin Ricciardelli is a recent graduate of Fort Dorchester High School(2018). He has studied Theatre for 4 years, most notable roles include Suffolk and Northumberland in DAMES OF THRONES and Brom Bones in THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW. In his free time he enjoys painting, woodworking, and learning to surf

Ian Bonner


Ian is a Boston native actor who is enjoying his stage work in Charleston. He has worked at many companies during his time in Charleston including The Footlight players, Village Repertory Company and What if! Productions. Some of Ian's favorite roles include Happy in Death of a Salesman, Tribe Member in Hair, Captain Hook in Peter Pan, and Craig in Ambrosio Productions world premier of SUP. Ian is overjoyed to bring the magic of these characters to life!

Xan Rogers


Xan is a Charleston native and a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. He has performed with many theatre companies around Charleston, including the Village Repertory Company, Midtown Productions, and Sprouts Children's Theatre. Some of Xan's favorite roles to date are The Beast in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, Sally in HAPPY IN THE POORHOUSE, Sir Frank Finger in IT'S ONLY A PLAY, Smudge in PLAID TIDINGS, Chad in DISASTER! THE MUSICAL, and Preppy Stud in HEATHERS, THE MUSICAL. Xan has taught theatre and dramatic arts through the Charleston Youth Company as well as his own private coaching. Xan is very excited to be a part of Curiouser Entertainment and hopes to make your next event a little more curiouser!

Marissa Rothfarb


Marissa Rothfarb is a College of Charleston 2019 Public Health graduate from Atlanta, who enjoys working for theatre, camera, and voiceover in the Southeast. Some of her favorite roles have been Becky Sharp in the regional premiere of VANITY FAIR (Village Repertory Company), Heather Duke in HEATHERS THE MUSICAL (Footlight Players Theatre), Pam in RENT (College of Charleston), the Baker's Wife in INTO THE WOODS jr. (Johns Creek Players), and Lisa in DAVID & LISA (Johns Creek Players). Marissa's voice can be heard in local podcast Aural Traditions and in several audiobooks on Audible!
